Beef heart is rich in B vitamins, iron, magnesium, selenium, zinc, protein and fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K.  And it’s delicious!  If you haven’t tried it yet, put it on your shopping list!

  • Ask for minced beef heart at your butcher.
  • Easy to substitute minced beef heart for beef mince.
  • A finer texture than beef mince, so it cooks quicker and is grainier.

This is 1kg of grass-fed and grass-finished minced beef heart.

  1. Melt 1 tablespoon of duck fat in a medium-high heat fry pan.
  2. Cook stirring for about 5 minutes.
